RnD Tuning 02M & 02Q Manual Gearbox 4th Gear Support

A well known weakness of the 02M & 02Q Gearboxes, is 4th gear stripping teeth. This can be a result from vehicles with high torque. The fault is caused by vibration and twisting running through the input and opposite shaft, which causes the gears to be pushed apart. As a result 4th gear no longer engages and may cause the teeth to be stripped and 4th gear to be defunct.

This support operates by a brass support pushing against the input shaft to stop any separation of the gear. This is adjustable and should be checked periodically. 

Please Note: Fitting this will obstruct the reverse sensor
